Binomio
Binomio is a sure bet to put a stop to any craving you might be having for Spanish cuisine. What’s great about lunching here is that you don’t have to order an entire set if you’d prefer not to. Instead, you can choose from a variety of starters each at $13, main courses at $17, and dessert (because, who’s judging?) at $5. Our highlights: the Pimientos de Bacalao (Piquillo pepper stuff with cod fish served with tomato sauce) and Arroz Mar y Montana (chicken and seafood paella).

The Black Swan (P)
The ambiance here is reason enough to visit during your lunch hour, not to mention it’s conveniently located in the heart of the CBD. The Black Swan is a housed in a restored 1930s building and is a stunning art deco grand bistro and bar. Choose from starters like the Radish & Endive Salad or Chilled Gazpacho; move on to hearty options for your main like the Linguinie Vongole or The Black Swan Burger; then add $6 for desserts like the Date & Toffee Pudding or Dark Chocolate Dome.

Esquina (P)
Head to Esquina, a charming spot with an open kitchen at the corner of Jiak Chuan and Teck Lim Roads, for tapas with a modern twist – think Chorizo Croquettas and Iberico Pork and Foie Gras Burgers. Their $28 menu comes with a serving of tapas, main, and cone each, and for an additional $10, they throw in a snack and dessert, too.

You can get a 3-course set lunch for $32, with menu items like Insalata di Calamari alla Siciliana (Sicillian Calamari Salad with Lemon and Potatoes), Trancio di Pesce Spada Alla Palermitana (Palermo-style Swordfish, something we really enjoyed), and of course, Torta di Ricotta e Noci con Gocce di Cioccolato (Fresh Ricotta Cheese Cake with Walnuts and Choco Drops).

terra by Seita
Terra was recently awarded a Michelin star, and for good reason. We never knew how delicious the combination of Italian and Japanese food could be until we stepped foot in here. Chef Seita marries traditional Italian style cooking with Japanese ingredients to make absolutely mouth-watering dishes. Set lunches come at $42 for 3 courses and $58 for 4, and dishes include scallops with Japanese mushroom and asparagus, and sea urchin pasta, which melted in our mouths.
