Bake Sale Results Are In!
Thanks to our community for supporting the member-led bake sale on the 20th of Jan last month. We were able to raise $500 for two well deserving causes both benefiting the rescue and care of Australian Wildlife – WIRES and WWF Aus. We like to think that beyond our members’ healthy sweet tooths you guys, like us, have a penchant for giving back and supporting the underdog.
Our member, Charlotte (shown above) not only showed off her baking skills (those caramel bars were sinfully delicious), but she hustled to sell off an amazing spread of baked goods for a good cause! We love it when our members get inspired and want to give a special shout out for this selfless initiative!
We also got an amazing show of support from our friends at Starter Lab bakery! They hooked us up with some amazing mini-loaves, scones, cookies and banana bread that seriously spiked our carb intake for the month – but it was well worth it! If you didn’t get a chance to try their goodies be sure to check out their outlet on Havelock Rd for amazing sourdough goods (their morning buns are a must).
